"Named after the best caviar money can buy, our two year old daughter of Xaar (by Zafonic) has shown distinct promise both on the gallops and on the track.

On the 17th August she was sent to Epsom for an educational visit, and boy, did we get a pleasant surprise. Having been warned by our trainer Neville Callaghan that she would need the run both physically and mentally, she literally fell out of the gates losing many lengths at the start but despite the twists and undulations of the famous Epsom track, she absolutely flew up the straight gaining ground hand over fist to run on into third, beaten only two and a half lengths and a neck.

Following that educational visit, it wasn’t long before she won a maiden at Wolverhampton and the nature of that win indicates that she has ability in abundance. To our eyes, she is still filling out and strengthening and will make an exciting three year old next season over distances around a mile, especially when encountering the fast ground her breeding suggests will suit her best."
